Educate the puppies and the
children.
Never leave your child unattended with
any dog. Ever!
Your family dog:
Every family member must learn to
control the dog, so get the kids involved in the training. Teach
puppies
& children early on to interact with each other. Treating an
adult
dog with child aggression is usually only moderately successful. There
are
no easy and quick remedies. And the techniques needed may be
beyond
the owner's capabilities. Teach your children to approach strange dogs properly (if at all), quietly and cautiously. Always remember that dogs not raised with children may not know how to deal well with their activity level or to read their body language properly - err on caution and keep them separated. |
