Dax “DAX”                                                                       Giant Schnauzer
Ch Skansen’s Royal Portrait CD TT TDI CGN
(March 1996 - August 2006)

handler:  Rachel Haslett
breeder:  Sylvia Hammarstrom, USA

DAX!   She was my University graduation present.  An ambassador to the breed with her beauty , brain and wonderfully playful disposition, she was a consistent group placer in the conformation ring, an enthusiastic obedience pupil, and a somewhat over zealous agility performer.  But mostly, a reliable and devoted companion.  She was retired from the show ring after her 2001 season where she finished #4 Giant in Canada.  Her breeding and competitive career was cut short due to pyometra at a young age...

NOTE:  We have no Giants in the kennel at this time, although we are still actively involved with several Giants as grooming and training clients.  It was our decision to wait until our children were a little older (and in school) before owning another Giant.  Why?  Grooming... I do not feel that I have time right now to keep a Giant in proper coat condition.  I've also recently been offered some great German Shepherds, opportunities of a life time which were hard to pass up.  But please check back, as there will be other Giants in our kennel!

Kayla “KAYLA”
Nashwaak Be My Kayla TT
(May 1996 – July 2005)
handler:  Peter Haslett
breeder:  Canada

“Kayla, daughter of SJPF K9 "Major", was a devoted girl, watchful of her home and gentle
with children.  She was truly an ambassador for her breed.”

Casey
“CASEY”
Ch Bannerstone’s Peepshow CDX TT TDI
(March 1996 – August 2005)
handler:  Rachel Haslett
breeder:  Brian & Linda Stevens, Canada

“ Rachel started competing/breeding rough collies in 1984 under the Reydon Hall prefix.
Casey ended this stage of my life with style, easily finishing her Championship, obtaining
multiple obedience High In Trials, placing in the Top 3 Obedience collies in Canada from 1996-98 and shining on the agility field.  She was the best I've had in 18 years, a truly versatile girl with the sweet disposition of an angel.  She was also the dam of Trieste’s “A” litter in 1999".
